In commemoration of the 120th celebration of Independence Day today, June 12, the Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office 9 (DOLE 9) will hold a Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan (TNK) job and business fair at the East Wing Activity Center of KCC Mall de Zamboanga, Governor Camins from 9:00 in the morning to 5:00 in the afternoon.

Regional Director Ofelia B. Domingo advised jobseekers to participate in the job and business fair for more opportunities of being hired since 21 employers will be offering 11, 532 job vacancies both for local and overseas work. The number is yet to increase as more job vacancies are submitted to DOLE.

She added that those who have already registered online during the Labor Day Job Fair need not register again since their data is already stored in the system thus reducing the waiting time on manual registration.

“Job seekers can also check our Facebook Page – DOLE Zampen Region where we they can find the participating employers and available jobs so they can better prepare for the job fair,” said Director Domingo.

For more chances of being hired on the spot, she also reminds jobseekers to prepare the following application documents: resume or curriculum vitae in multiple copies, 2x2 ID pictures, certificates of employment for those who were previously employed, diploma and/or transcript of records and an authenticated birth certificate. Moreover, applicants are advised to wear appropriate attire for the interview to appear presentable to employers.

The Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan (TNK) is a joint undertaking of DOLE and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) which aims to bring jobs and livelihood opportunities to communities.

Meanwhile, this year’s celebration of Independence Day is anchored on the theme “Kalayaan 2018 Pagbabagong Ipinaglaban, Alay sa Masaganang Kinabukasan.”(KAREN CLAIRE Q. GRAFIA)
