Two pushers nabbed in buy-bust

Two suspected drug pushers were arrested during the buy-bust operation conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of Police Station 7 at San Jose Road, Barangay Sto. Niño, this city, last Friday.

Chief Insp. Roly Joaquino, officer-in-charge (OIC) of Police Station 7, identified the suspects as Junior Soreño y Cafino, 34, single and Joy Anadio y Ling Kiat, 38, single, both residents of the same place.

Joaquino said that the SDET operatives recovered from suspected pushers were 7 pieces of heat-seat transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be Methamphetamine Hydrochloride locally known as shabu,a  disposable lighter, a green coin purse and the P200 mark money bill.

The duo was brought to the police station for investigation while the recovered items were turned over to the investigator PO1 Bryan Delgado for safekeeping.

A case for violation of R.A. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be forwarded at the City Prosecutor’s Office against them.

The sachets of alleged shabu will be submitted for examination at the Regional Crime Laboratory Office 9 to determine the presence of Methamphetamine Hydrochloride substance. (Eugene A. Lasprilla)
