Boy dies of electrocution

A fish vendor, who has been victimized several times by thieves, has set up a trap to catch the culprits by connecting live electric wires to his fish container in Sitio Flamingo barangay Calarian, this city.

At around 8:00 in the evening of Friday, a ten year old boy died of electrocution when he touched the electric wires that was connected to the ice box.

Sinunuc police chief investigator, PO3 Elimar Elican identified the minor as Michael Muin, a grade three student of Sinunuc Elementary School and a resident of Flamingo.

Elican identified the fish vendor as Ruben Abbas y Tandih , 47 of the same place.

The police said the fish vendor immediately escaped after learning of the incident.

According to Elican, the wires have been pulled out by the suspect to hide the crime he committed.

The police investigator said a case for reckless imprudence resulting to homicide will be filed against the fish vendor in court. (Nonong Santiago)
