House in Boalan robbed

A house in Sitio Duncaan, Barangay Boalan, this city, lost P40,000 and some gadgets to burglars, last Tuesday.

The victim identified as Crisanto Carpio Infante, 40, married, of the same place, told the local police that the burglars carted away a unit of iPhone 6S cellular phone, a pocket wi-fi, one unit of MyPhone cellular phone and the cash.

Ocular investigation conducted by personnel of Police Station 5 showed that the suspects enteredthe house by destroying a wall at the kitchen.

A deeper police investigation is being conducted to identify the suspect for their possible arrest.

Meanwhile, a robbery suspect was arrested at Sitio Savanah, Barangay Tumaga, after he forcibly barged inside a house at Kalayaan Subdivision, Sitio Luyahan, Barangay Tumaga, this city.

The suspect was identified as Alvin Bartolome y Alejandro, 23, single, of Urban Poor, Kalayaan, of the said barangay.

Recovered from his possession were a small plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, two folded aluminum foil, a rolled tissue and a small used candle.

The complainant, Rodel Ramos Prieto, 40, married, of the said place, reported to Police Station 7 his house was robbed.

Report showed that the suspects forcibly took 30 pieces of corrugated iron sheets, a 32" Ace flat television, an electric fan, a one terabyte external memory and 2 bicycles.

Accordingly, the complainant spotted the suspect inside his neighbor’s house and when cornered, he suddenly jumped over the concrete fence with barbwire causing injuriesto his head and body.

The suspect ran towards the direction of Barangay Luzuran, but was collared by the security guards of the Ateneo de Zamboanga University (ADZU) grade school campus in Sitio Savanah, Tumaga.

The suspect was detained at the police station while the recovered loots were turned over to PO2 Micahel Avenido for safekeeping.

Appropriate case was readied against the suspect in court. (Eugene A. Lasrpilla)
