Celso continues consultation with barangay officials on priority projects

District 1 Congressman Celso L. Lobregat continues his consultations with Barangay Officials on projects to be implemented this year and in 2018.

Congressman Lobregat and DPWH-DEO officials visited Barangay Sta. Maria recently. There, the solon met with Barangay Chairman Los Eli Angeles and Kagawad Girlie Atilano and discussed the lined-up projects for 2017 which include the P30 million rip-rapping of the Sta. Maria section of the Tumaga river, P 15.2 million for the construction of a 3 storey 9 classroom building and P 11.2 million for the construction of a 3 storey 6 classroom building for Sta. Maria Central School.

For 2018, Sta. Maria barangay officials identified flood control projects and a road concreting project as their priority.

Lobregat together with DPWH-DEO officials next visited Barangay Tumaga and met with Barangay Chairwoman Jacqueline Lim. They discussed the 2017 P30 million flood control project in the Tumaga section of the Tumaga river. Lobregat also informed Capt Jackie that the house bill on the creation of the Tumaga National High School is dependent on the availability of a school site. In turn, the Barangay Chairwoman said that she is following up with the city government for the lot purchase.

For 2018, the priority project identified by Capt Jackie for Barangay Tumagais road concreting of a specific site in Tumaga.

Congressman Lobregat has already met with other Barangay Officials of District 1 for their needs, concerns and proposed projects for 2018.(Dexter Yap)
