Cabato breaks his silence

PDFPrintE-mail

Councilor Jimmy Cabato, one of political allies of Mayor Celso Lobregat under LDP, broke his silence Sunday on the issue surrounding in the choice of candidates for the May 2013 elections.

In the e-mail text - sent over the weekend - Councilor Cabato writes “For good reasons: naming one, disagreement in the choice of candidates, I am out of LDP, officially on a temporary leave of absence and understanding with its head, Mayor Celso L. Lobregat, whose administration in the 2010 elections I had pledged to support. And that word holds until 30 June 2013, even beyond.”

Cabato also writes “ I arrived at this decision in a move that will lead to the fulfillment of my dream - the same dream shared by all Zamboangueños – that is, a peaceful, quiet and orderly Zamboanga, where we can all go out of the sanctuary of our abodes without fear of criminals.”

“And as avowed time and again, I will join up with the mayoralty bet who will agree to give me the portfolio as his Action Officer on Peace and Order. Anent thereto, only two bets had formal talks with me through their respective emissaries. From the way things turned out only one had in principle agreed. But my official word on this, as also agreed, will come in a separate announcement I will very soon be making,” he says.

“I assure every Zamboangueño, when that goal is reached,, with the support of the elected mayor, in the company of the police, the military and civilian components, in whatever manner and in whatever way, I will drive all criminals out of our city. In Zamboanga by then, the order of the day will:  Here, only the peaceful live,” Cabato email text concludes.
