HAPPY 120TH Independence Day to all Filipinos, like you and me in La Bella and all across this country! May I ask, Are we truly Independent? Ehemm..

YESTERDAY morning during my TV talk show “Pencing Hard Punch” aired over TV-13, my guests were of course, as usual, Atty. Tongo Climaco, Jr. and from DENR now assigned in Ipil, ZamboangaSibugay, Dindo Ebol Enriquez Deoticio. He came over accidentally for he was looking for a lawyer  to help him file a civil suit for moral damages against one local FM radio station for alleged malicious assassination against his person. Did I hear it right from you, Atty. Tongo?

Now, during the 30-minute no holds-barred live tv talk show, Dindo as he’s fondly addressed by those who’ve known him that well, threatened to pursue his case against this radio station, unless they issue a public apology. “Jun, unless they apologize to me in public, I’m determined to file a case against them.” Dindo revealed that the complaint filed by the radio station was dismissed by the court in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur for supposed insufficiency of evidence. He said the dismissal came some two months ago. He said their complaint against him and other John Does from DENR-9 in this region, stemmed from an issue having to do with the supposed reforestation program of their gov’t agency in Brgy. La Paz wherein it was alleged that there were wanton irregularities involving gov’t funds for such reforestation program, and they were accused of using those funds for their own vested interest. The court, according to him, eventually trashed their complaints filed against him and his other co-accused.

“My name has been tarnished by them. My family’s reputation has been put to shame. Now, it’s for them to issue their apology to the public. That’s all I’m asking from them, otherwise, I have no other recourse, but to seek redress from the court of law,” Dindo vowed.

Well, good luck to both, Dindo and the management, staff and personnel of the radio station named by Dindo as “Brigada.” (30)
