Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) Regional Chairman Mannix Dalipe’s talent, proficiency and capability in the scouting movement has finally paid off.
Dalipe has been adjudged as the Most Outstanding Regional Chairman of the BSP in its annual search for the most exceptional BSP leader in the country.

BSP Secretary General J. Rizal Pangilinan already sent an official letter to Dalipe for him to receive the prestigious award from BSP President, Vice President Jejomar Binay during the Annual National BSP Council Meeting scheduled May 16, 2012 at the Camiguin Convention Center.

An estimated 3,000 BSP adult leaders are expected to converge at the venue for the yearly BSP meeting, according to Dalipe.
Asked the reason why he was chosen to receive the award, Dalipe said “it is my untiring support and services to the BSP movement. I have made it a point to visit and check all the provinces covered under the BSP Western Mindanao Region.”

Now on his fourth consecutive year as the BSP regional chair, Dalipe still fully enjoys the support of the governors and mayors in the Western Mindanao Region to include the cities and provinces of Iligan, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Sibugay, Basilan, Misamis Occidental, Cotabato and the ARMM provinces of Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur,Sulu and Tawi-Tawi.

“Actually this award was due to the achievements made by my administration for the year 2011,” Dalipe emphasized.
Before he became the regional chair four years ago, the BSP Western Mindanao region ranked below par compared to other BSP in the country, it was only during his leadership that the scouting movement in this part of the country has tremendously improved in terms of performance and membership.

I totally concur with you mr. Ibrahim. Boys scout are supposed to honest and not corrupt. Mr. Dalipe, while serving as vice mayor, used some government funds for personal used. Birthday parties c/o government funds. Which is subject for malversation of public funds. Good to the citizen of Zamboanga.

its a very sad event. people chose the wrong person in mannix dalipe as a role model for the youth. unknown to the masses, mannix dalipe is a very corrupt screwed politician, if his father manny dalipe is known as mr 10% before, because he could demand a 10% kickback for every government project. his son mannix dalipe is worst, mannix is more greedy and corrupt. he could demand more and bigger kickback than his father. he is a bad example, a corrupt person, its a disaster for our younger generation to have him as a role model.
