Cabato hits back at weightlifting coach

PDFPrintE-mail

Councilor Jimmy Cabato yesterday blasted back at a weightlifting coach who earlier bad-mouthed members of the City Council including Mayor Celso Lobregat for allegedly not helping the athletes fund their trips to Manila and back.

In his privilege speech during yesterday's regular Council session, Cabato exposed Nick Suarez as a "sinning mercenary" who is out to make a fast buck for himself out of the athletes.

"El consejo bien enbuenamente cunele ya trata cuando ya anda ele durante el session ta pidi ayuda para na mga atleta. Ya abla came cunele anda anay ele cunele mayor pero embes de anda yan derecho na radio station y ya mal abla canamun y cunel mayor," Cabato said in the vernacular.

Quoting from UZI professor Elbert "Bong" Atilano, Cabato said Suarez is not a weightlifting coach anymore and has no right to ask for funding assistance from anybody since the weightlifting athletes àre all from UZI and already have funding assistance and allowances from the university.

"In fact the mayor already gave tickets to the atheletes for their trips to Manila. Acabar ta abla pa ele cay came nuay corazon na mga atleta cay ya pasa daw came cunele como limosnero. Nuay man gale ele quever na mga atleta nuay man gale cunele manda busca sen. Si colecta ele sen kun quien man gaha ta guinda?" Cabato said.

"Ya abla gane si Bong baka quiere daw queda commissioner. Si ya sinti man ele insultao bahala cunele," Cabato stressed.

This is unfair, the newspaper should get the side of the persecuted in criticisms... No journalism ethics... Then that claim that the man wants to be just a commissioner is really a prejudice to the oppressed...

The comment was very unhonorable... iS THAT WHAT YOU DO WHEN A PLAIN POOR PERSON raises his opinion and after being denied of help... Hindi na nga natulungan binastos...

Jimmy Cabato: before you open your mouth, Nick Suarez did not claim to represent the city. Nick represented the Pasobolong/Mercedes Weightlifting Association and he made that clear. And since Pasobolong and Mercedes are in Zamboanga City...it can also be said that Nick Suarez and his lifters were representing our city.

DEFICIL BA SE ENTENDE? MGA SIN VERGUENZA MAN GAYOT KAMO ALLI NA CONSEJO? TUTUY DE CELSO! LET CELSO DEFEND HIMSELF!
