One person was killed and three were wounded in a truck-motorcycle collision along MCLL Highway, Barangay Cabaluay, this city, Sunday morning.
Romeo Ocampo y Castillo, of legal age, resident of Don Toribio Street, Barangay Tetuan, this city, and the driver of a Honda Wave 100 color black motorcycle with plate number JH 7698, died on the spot.

The wounded were identified as Bernardino Concepcion y Olasima, the driver of a Sunrise SMC color red motorcycle with temporary plate number 092803 and his back-riders Jovenard Concepcion, 7, and Anna Rose Gantala Garcia, 19.
Report disclosed that all wounded victims were rushed to Zamboanga City Medical Center (ZCMC) for medical treatment. The back-riders were already declared out of danger after sustaining only minor injuries.

Based on an incident report submitted by Chief Insp. Elmer Acuña to city police director Sr. Supt. Edwin de Ocampo, it says that the mini-dump truck with plate number YJX 270 driven by Cesar Torres y Angeles, 34, of this city was on its way to Sangali proper. Upon reaching the curved road at the vicinity of Cabaluay Elementary School, the truck allegedly encroached the opposite lane and collided with the two motorcycles traveling toward the city proper.

All vehicles involved in the accident were brought to Sangali Police Station while the truck driver is now detained pending the filing of appropriate charges against him in court.
