Fil-Chinese chamber of commerce holds induction of officers

The Zamboanga Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (ZFCCCI) held its 58th to 59th induction ceremony last Thursday evening at a local hotel in the city.
Inducted into office were President Eduardo G. Chua, Executive Vice President Benito L. Ong, Vice Presidents Rufino S. Lim, Ang Hopeng, William Ebol, and Bernard Ong, Treasurers William Wee Ebol and Felipe Acosta, PROs Eduardo L. Cheong, Wee Sion Ben, and Richard C. Chan, Chinese Secretaries Ang Hopeng and Rusty Go, English Secretary Salvador C. Wee, Auditors Angel M. Natividad and Benedict C. Yeo.

Also indeucted were committee heads including Organization Committee Ramon C. Ho, Yu Peng, and Josefito Lim, Welfare Committee Chua Yet Poh, Willy N. Lim, and Pedro To, Finance Committee Benjamin L. Go, Cesar Ledesma, Sr., Luis K. Alvarez, Sr., and Danny N. Lim. 

The honorary presidents of the organization are Pedro Chua, Ting Teck Hua, Eduardo L. Cheong, Wee Sion Ben, and Richard C. Chan.
The theme of the event was "Partnership for Progress and Prosperity,"
In his speech, Chua said he is aiming for Zamboanga to be a business and investment destination and strengthen both local and national partnership through the cooperation of the business sector and the government.
The new officers were inducted by the President of the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce, Inc. Mr. Tan Ching.

Secretary of the Department of Transportation and Communication Mar Roxas was the guest of honor. Also present in the induction ceremony were Consul-General of the Peoples Republic of China in Cebu Zhang Wei Guo, Mindanao Development Authority Chairman Lou Antonino, Congresswoman and Deputy Speaker for Mindanao Maria Isabelle Climaco, Congressman Erbie Fabian, Mayor Celso Lobregat, Vice Mayor Cesar Iturralde, the city councilors, and other guests.
