RMN continues to dominate airlanes in Zamboanga

Radyo Mo Nationwide-Zamboanga again dominated the airwaves of this city when it garnered the top most position in the recently conducted radio survey in Zamboanga City.

The radio survey was conducted by the reputable Nielsen Company which is the world’s leading marketing and media information. Nielsen was commissioned by the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) and the Radio Research Council (RRC) in the country to employ advanced data collection methodologies and measurement to help businesses turn new and traditional sources of data into customer intelligence to better manage their brands, launch and grow product portfolios, optimize their media mix and establish meaningful customer relationships in the Philippines. All the data gathered during the survey conducted was evaluated in Australia by the tough evaluators of the same company.

During its conducted Radio Audience Measurement in 2010 which was done in key cities nationwide, RMN-DXRZ-AM 900KHz got the Number One post garnering the highest Ratings and Audience Share amongst its eleven other competitor stations in the AM band. DXRZ-900KHz garnered the Exemplary Audience Share Ratings of 54.4%, followed by (2nd) DZRH-Manila with only 24.3%, (3rd) Super Radyo-13.4%,(4th)DZBB-Manila-2.7%(5th)DZMM-Manila-1.7% (6th)DXVP-Radio Verdadero-1.6% (7th)DXMR-Radyo ng Bayan-0.8% (8th)DXLL/RT Specialists-0.7% and (9th)DXXX-Radyo Ronda-0.4% only.

The percentage of the total radio listening audience in a given time period tuned to a particular station during the week is the one being used as basis and the average number of people listening per quarter-hour in any given time-period or daypart expressed as a percentage of the potential rating stations in each identified key areas being surveyed by Nielsen. This is where RMN-Zamboanga dominated among other radio local and national radio station competitors airing in the city today.

RMN-Zamboanga Station Manager Joel Sanson was elated over the results which for him, showed the real “Voice of the Zamboangeños” wherein the people of the city have spoken and listen to the news, issues, interests and varieties of public affairs programs which they like to listen to on a daily basis, making RMN part of their lives.

“In behalf of the entire RMN family, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to the people of Zamboanga who are one with us in pursuing our objective of moving this city forward and serving for the benefit of the people, our un-ending thanks to all our listeners,” Sanson said.

A double top hit with RMN-Zamboanga was also the domination of its FM music station DXWR-96.3-I-FM who also dominated the music stations in the FM Band of Zamboanga City where it garnered 37.9% Audience Share, followed by (2nd)102.7-HOT-FM-27.1%, (3rd) MOR for Life-12.0%, (4th) DXEL Killer Bee-6.4%, (5th) Love Radio-6.2%, (6th) Star FM-5.9%, (7th) Wild FM- 3.1%, (8th) and DXUE Ultimate Radio-0.8% on the 9th place.

I-FM Zamboanga Station Manager Rham Iraham lamented that they really worked hard and burn the midnight microphones and search thoroughly the music world just to bring entertainment and the acceptable FM programs the people would like to listen to in the city. He said that their objective is to entertain and make people laugh and enjoy listening to the sumptuous and “heart-fulfilling” music and sound which the Zamboangeños would like to hear every day when they open their music stations early in the morning and until they go to sleep.
