Tactical alliance an option for 2013 elections - Fabian

PDFPrintE-mail

"I will likely seek to align myself with candidates who share a common vision for a better Zamboang City for the 2013 elections."

Thus City 2nd District Rep. Erbie A. Fabian said on how he will structure his political plans for the May 13 polls after having declared himself in the running for the mayoralty post.

The 3rd term congressman of the 2nd district has been elected to run independently of the group of Mayor Celso Lobregat and 1st District Rep. Beng Climaco-Salazar who were his partners in the last local elections.

After declaring his candidacy for Mayor last July 31 in Culianan, Fabian has kept mum on his plans to form his own party and name his party mates for the midterm polls.

He has continued on his usual stomp and activities by his lonesome and has kept his plans under wraps.

He hinted though he is looking at forging tactical alliances with some key political figures here outside of the parties of proclaimed rivals Rep. Climaco-Salazar and former Cong. Romeo Jalosjos who are with party machineries this early in the run.

The solon added, his only rule on the matter is that there must be a shared vision on what is envisioned for the good of the city and its people.

Fabian, being the Nationalista Party figurehead in the city, has the authority from the national NP leadership to form a party or coalesce with any group or individuals who will ensure continuity with the party’s stand on key issues at stake.
