All is set for tomorrow’s launching of Nutrition Month celebration in the city which will be held at Plaza Pershing.

The celebration tomorrow will highlight the search for “Ginang Nutrition,” as part of the fund-raising campaign of the Nutrition Council and various activities.

District 2 Councilor Lilia Nuño said the proceed of the fund-raising will go to the Nutrition Council for the promotion of nutrition in the city.

“We have no funds, therefore, this will go  a long way for hosting such activity,” Nuño said.

She said the launching of the occasion was supposedly held last July 5, 2012 but it was moved to July 10, 2012, due to the visit of the Queen of Spain, the first highest foreign dignitary visited Zamboanga.

This will be participated by different line-agencies and sectors which include educational institutions, health, veterinary, barangays and Non-Government Organizations (NGOs).

The theme for this year’s Nutrition Month Celebration is “Pagkain ng gulay ugaliin, araw-araw itong ihain.”

The lady councilor appealed to all mothers to participate in the said occasion and for barangay officials to support their candidates.

“This is a big opportunity to expose parents with their children in the community for a healthy living,” Nuño said. (Monch L. Follosco)
