Initial investigation conducted by the police disclosed that prior to the incident, Juhari was bringing his children to Taluksangay Elementary School when he almost had a vehicular accident. Napalcruz told Zamboanga Today that Juhari suspected the victim as responsible in loosening the motorcycle’s break and upon seeing the latter, he immediately confronted him then without any provocation, shot Abubakar repeatedly.
The suspect hurriedly sped towards unknown direction after the incident.

A manhunt operation was launched against the suspect but yielded negative result. Appropriate case was readied by the police investigator against the suspect in court.
