Former Congressman Romeo "Nonong" Jalosjos yesterday told would-be candidates not to run with him if they cannot work for the betterment of Zamboanga City after getting elected in the 2013 elections.

In an interview over Buenas Dias Zamboanga anchored by Al Alhabshi, Jalosjos advised politicians who are now under his party to work hard if they were elected into office because he will not tolerate officials who will only stay inside their airconditioned offices doing nothing.

“As early as now, I have been telling them to withdraw their plan to run for any position if they cannot adhere to the party’s 25-point agenda. Right now they still have enough time to think if they want to be with my party and willing to work for the betterment of Zamboanga City,” Jalosjos emphasized.

Jalosjos said if elected, he will appropriate funds for the implementation of major projects and will assign each councilor to ensure the achievement of the said project.

“As the chief executive, I will always watch their moves if they are really working. I have scheduled the signing of a covenant on July 7, 2012. Those who will not appear during the signing will mean they are not interested and are not welcome in my party. But it will depend if they have good reasons for their non-appearance.” Jalosjos stressed.

The former congressman vowed to complete at least eighty percent of their 25-point agenda in his first term as Mayor thus he said there is really a need for all those running with him to work double time after being elected.

"We will do this because this is our obligation. So everybody must put their personal ambitions aside and concentrate on our obligation to serve the people of Zamboanga, to transform Zamboanga into a better place to live in. Obligacion este diamun, hende ambicion". Jalosjos stressed.
