The Unified Body Builders Association of the Philippines (UBBAP), Zamboanga City chapter has chosen five finalists for the Asia-Philippines Qualifiers during the selection yesterday at the pool site of the Joaquin Enriquez Memorial Sports Complex in Baliwasan.

UBBAP Vice President for Western Mindanao Francisco Kit Montera told Zamboanga Today that the selection was opened to all local body builders members from various body building and fitness gyms.

Montera, the selection under the regulation of the UBBAP, personally assisted the selection process with local selection judges led by Senior Police Office 4 Joselito Mabalot.

The top 5 finalist are Jieford Lariosa y Papinid for the Novice Category; Al-Nezzar Ammad y Tagayan-Medium Category; Roger Atilano y Mariano-Master Category; Ramsey Hamja y Sabturani for the Short Category and Richard Pascua y Linda-Tall Category.

Montera said that the top 5 finalist will undergo further training in preparation for the September 21-23, 2012 Asia-Philippines Qualifiers competition to be held in Cebu City.

Local body builders that participated in the selection were Claudio Sardan y Entia; Zaldy Diaz y Manuel; Raymond Calumpang y Luna; Hermito Misola y Laranjo; Jieford Lariosa y Lapinid; Al-Nezzar Hamad y Tagayan; Richard Pascua y Linda; Roger Atilano y Marinao; Allan Cajucom y Capangpangan and Ramsey Hamja y Sabturani.

Montera expressed his confidence over the team to bag several awards during the completion for the glory of Zamboanga City. (Eugene A. Lasprilla)
