A student stabbed and wounded by his alleged classmate together with an accomplice in front of a mosque along Suterville Road, Barangay Campo Islam, this city, last Sunday.

Reports identified the victim as Mohammad Camama y Kalon, of legal age, single, and a resident of the same barangay.

He sustained multiple stab wounds at the back portion of his body and was brought to Zamboanga Brent Hospital for medical treatment. 

Police identified the suspect as Khaider Adnani y Manan, of legal age, single, a resident of Ilang-Ilang Drive, Barangay Baliwasan, this city, while the companions remains unidentified as of the press time. 

Initial investigation conducted by the personnel of Criminal Investigation and Detective Management Unit (CIDMU) disclosed the victim claimed he received a text message coming from the suspect requesting to meet him in from of Masjid Al-Imam-Al Mahdi mosque.

Probers said that upon the arrival of the victim, he was suddenly held-up by unidentified person then Adnani suddenly appeared and stabbed him for several times. 

Both suspects immediately fled toward unknown directions after the incident.

A follow-up operation was conducted by the police personnel at the Adnani’s residence however his whereabouts can no longer be located. 

A homicide case was readied by the police against the suspect and his accomplice in court.
